The Port of Oakland is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Port Assistant Engineer (Civil Work). The ideal candidate performs tasks in field and office settings that require some experience in the application of civil engineering. A Port Assistant Engineer may coordinate the work of engineers and technicians who assist in specific assignments and may assist in providing their technical training.
The minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering PLUS one year of professional engineering experience. Must possess and provide a valid State of California Engineer-in-Training certificate (EIT).
