The City of Troutdale, Oregon is currently seeking applicantsfor the position of:
Summer Engineering Aide
Application Deadline: February 4, 2018
The candidate selected for this position will perform a variety of engineering support tasks of limited complexity related to the planning, design, construction, inspection, maintenance and repair of public works facilities, including streets, water production and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, storm water conveyance systems, and parks.
General engineering concepts, practices and procedures.
Basic Land surveying techniques.
Geographic information systems.Ability to:
Perform mathematical calculations.
Read, write, speak and comprehend English.
Read and understand maps and construction drawings.
Produce drawings of limited complexity in AutoCAD.
Perform basic GIS data entry. Required Education and Experience: Possession of valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Knowledge of general engineering practices and procedures as obtained by having a high school education and at least two years in an engineering curriculum or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the above duties.
