The project managers duties include but are not limited to managing the installation technicians and installations of projects. They will also work very closely with Branch Managers, Field Supervisors, Designers, Sales Peoples, Technicians, and other Project Managers. The position is provide scheduling, coordination, training, and guidance to technicians and others for projects that could contain Access Control, Security, CCTV, Fire Alarm/ Mass Notification, Nurse Call, Sound Systems, Voice and Data and any other system that Premier Fire offers to customers.
Manage assigned projects according to project specifications and serve as the direct form of contact to customers.
Project tracking which includes but is not limited to status reports, change orders, work schedules, coordination issues, etc..
On occasion you may be asked to assist technicians onsite.
Manage and schedule customers needs throughout project including walkthroughs, meetings, and trainings.
Manage relationships with other contractors and vendors for ensuring scheduled deadlines, project accuracy, and budgets.
Provide updates to the Managers as required
Help technicians with questions to get problems resolved.
Work with appropriate personnel to provide info necessary for invoicing and cost reporting.
Provide technical support in person and by phone to customers, dealers, vendors, sales team, techs.
Perform work per Company Policies and Procedure Manuals.
Ensure Field changes are forwarded to designers along with as builts.
Perform additional assignments as asked by Managers.
Review design plans for accuracy.
Requisition of correct material in a timely fashion.
Skills/ Abilities/ Education/ Certifications
Must have ability to use computers and programs that include but are not limited to email, personal scheduling, MS office programs.
Working knowledge of CAD.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of the Low Voltage industry.
Customer service oriented.
Ability to multi task
Ability to work in deadline driven enviroment
Knowledge of construction principles and practices
