Huitt-Zollars' Irvine, CA office has a great Civil Engineer opportunity for PE licensed and registered in California. This role will provide civil engineering design for public works projects in the southern California area. The successful candidate will have 4 to 10 years of progressive experience as a professional engineer and design and plan preparation for roadways, storm drain, sewer, water and reclaimed water for public works projects.

Provide civil engineering design for public works projects including streets, roadways, storm drain, flood control, sewer, water and reclaimed water, and water quality planning projects.
Prepare engineering reports, and GIS exhibits with ArcGIS
Conduct site visits and document findings
Attend, record and distribute meeting minutes and assist with project correspondence
Interface with clients and prepare graphic materials, documents and presentations.
BS Degree in Civil Engineering and California registered PE
Minimum 4 years of public works design experience
Proficient AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS and Hydraulic software
Ability to prepare engineering reports
Knowledge of public agency processes
Solid design and problem solving skills
Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in MicroStation, PondPack, XPSwmm, ArcHydro, GeoRAS, GeoHMS, Civil 3D experience are all a plus
