Position Summary:
The successful candidate will be exposed to a wide range of commercial real estate investment strategies in a fast-paced and challenging environment, including the management, disposition and underwriting of real estate assets.
Essential Functions:
- Work collaboratively with senior asset management team to determine and implement strategic operating/investment plans for select properties within our investment portfolios, as well as contributing to overall portfolio management strategy and execution
- Prepare financial models to perform cash flow analysis, property valuation, and return calculations, through creating and maintaining ARGUS and Microsoft Excel models
- Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc asset-level strategy recommendations to senior management
- Produce asset and portfolio level investment performance reports on a periodic basis
- Research and analyze relevant market data, including demographics, rent and sale comps, competitor positioning, economic forecasts, and other market research reports
- Assist in the engagement of and provide direction to third-party property managers in development and implementation of operating budgets, including capital improvement projects and leasing plans
- Assist in the underwriting and due diligence of prospective CRE acquisition opportunities in various stages of operation (e.g.: stabilized, distressed, value-add and lease-up) by completing detailed pro forma cash flow projections and discounted cash flow models
