Position: The McWhorter School of Building Science at Auburn University seeks applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position at the assistant/associate professor level. The vision of the McWhorter School of Building Science is to be the global leader in education and innovation in the built environment. The mission is to create stimulating learning experiences for our students by engaging them in the discovery of the techniques and management of construction.
The selected candidate will have instructional opportunities in the thriving undergraduate program, the Master of Building Construction program, and the newly established Building Construction Doctoral program. Some of our faculty members also develop and deliver instruction in the three online Graduate Building Construction Certificate Programs as well as the executive Master of Real Estate program, a joint-program of the College of Business and the College of Architecture, Design and Construction. Several faculty members are involved in the school’s very-active Study-Abroad program. Many of our faculty members are engaged in the school’s Center for Construction Innovation and Collaboration and the development of innovative products, all in pursuit of their interests and ideas (http://www.auburnccic.org).

Minimum Qualifications: 1. A Master’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field or a Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field with a Master of Business Administration at the time employment begins. Desired Qualifications: 1. A Ph.D. degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (Applicants with an ABD will be considered if they can finish the degree within 2 years of appointment).
