The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of New Hampshire seeks an energetic and innovative teacher-scholar, committed to excellence in engineering education, to join our dedicated family of faculty members in the area of general civil and environmental engineering. The lecturer position is non-tenure track but offers the potential for employment security with multi-year appointments. 

The expectation is that the instructor will teach and develop curriculum for nominally five or six courses per year, including both undergraduate and graduate courses. The instructor will also be responsible for student advising, department service, and outreach to professional and alumni constituents. Applicants must hold either a Ph.D. or an M.S. in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a closely related discipline. Current professional registration or the ability to become a registered professional engineer within two years is required. The successful candidate’s primary teaching responsibility will be introductory courses in construction project engineering and management; however, the ability to teach general civil and environmental engineering undergraduate courses is required. Depending on interests and expertise, the candidate will teach courses which may include: Statics, Green Building Design, Building Information Modeling, Site Design, Water and Wastewater Treatment, Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Systems, Geo-Environmental Engineering, and other courses as may align with the applicant’s professional experience.
