Responsibilities | Skills | Competencies
Direct and manage assigned staff with installation, maintenance, and repair of the electrical distribution system, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), fiber network, and other related electronic equipment and devices.
Responsible for leading and directing the Electrical System Manager, Lineman, Apparatus Technician, Staking Engineer, and Electrical Distribution Engineer to include orientation, timekeeping, safety, performance management, training, and work schedules.
Oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance tasks for electric meter testing, fiber network, reclosers, switching schemes, instrumentation, generators, and other electronic equipment and devices on the electrical distribution system.
Responsible for ensuring RP3 compliance with the American Public Power Association.
Responsible for managing projects, operating within budget, and building relationships with key
Experience with SCADA system implementation, integration, operation, support, and maintenance activities.
Require working knowledge of the application of engineering principles and practices involved in the design and layout of electrical distribution systems, including both overhead and underground.
Require working knowledge of the National Electric Code and National Electrical Safety Code.
Responsible for electrical distribution engineering design and layout for the expansion of the electric distribution system, power requirements, and related specifications and codes.
Requires a minimum of 15 years of Electrical Distribution System experience
Requires a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Hardware | Software | Technical | Other Skills
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong technical and program management skills
Proficient knowledge of technology and software including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Milsoft, Survalent, and Sensus Analytics
Must live within 30 miles of Newnan Utilities
