Objectives:  Maintain calibration system for test and measurement equipment for the St. Louis facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Administer the Calibration Department to assure compliance to Global Directives and applicable regulations.

• Schedule all internal and outsourced calibration services.

• Specify and maintain calibration records

• Review contractor calibration certificates.

• Calibration and troubleshooting of electronic, pressure, torque, temperature, and physical dimensional test equipment.

• Provide communication between all departments on schedules, equipment failures, and missing test and measurement equipment.

• Write and review standard operating procedures.

• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

• Local travel required to multiple company work sites and calibration/metrology service labs.

Required Education: 

• High school diploma or GED.

Required Skills/Qualifications: 

• Mechanical — Experienced in the use of calipers, micrometers, and mechanical test fixtures. 
• Electrical — Experienced in the use of multi-meters, variable autotransformers and electrical safety analyzers. 
• Calibration — Experienced in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a Calibration System. 
• Guidelines — Experienced in ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 calibration requirements.
• Communication Skills — Must be able to relay pertinent technical data to appropriate personnel. Report out of tolerance findings and investigate nonconformances.

Required Experience: 

• Minimum of Five years’ experience performing calibration activities and scheduling calibration services with outside labs.

Preferred Experience:   

• Experience in a medical device / pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Blue Mountain RAM software.
