Looking for an exciting opportunity to work in the renewable energy sector? Douglas PUD, which is committed to sustainable power generation, has an opening at Wells Dam, an 840 MW hydroelectric project on the Columbia River. This position will be the main electrical advisor for Wells Dam, working with other lead team members to ensure reliable operations. Some of the projects currently in process are replacement of five 14.4kV – 230kV transformers, replacement of twenty 480V MCC panels, and generator refurbishment which includes total rebuilds of the generator and rotor. Future projects planned are the replacement of 480V spill gate controls, stations service transformer/breakers upgrades, unit governor controls upgrade and new 125V DC panel upgrades throughout the dam.
