Substation Electrician
GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK: Performs responsible skilled and technical work in the inspection, testing, repair, replacement and maintenance of distribution substation electrical equipment ranging from 480v to 230kv. Responsible for inspecting, testing and repairing a large variety of electronic, electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment in the substations.  Performs related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision.  Supervision and training is exercised over subordinate personnel. TYPICAL TASKS: Inspects, tests, repairs and maintains substation electrical equipment, such as Air, Oil, Vacuum and Gas circuit breakers, LTC’s, MOAB’s, PT’s/CCVTs, ABTS’s, capacitor banks, high voltage switchgear, high pressure P
