Transportation Research Economist
Conduct research on different transportation-related topics including transportation policy, safety, mobility, funding, etc. for presentations and conferences, publications in peer-reviewed journals, development of research reports, and other engagements; Lead or support research projects and collaborate on interdisciplinary research teams; Analyze the costs, benefits, and economic impacts of transportation projects; Produce written reports, memoranda, and spreadsheet models; Manage work on short and long-term projects; Collaborate with state and local governmental and transportation agencies such as the Alabama Department of Transportation, Alabama League of Municipalities, transportation planning organizations, the City of Tuscaloosa, and others; Engage in proposal and research grant
