The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia invites applications for two full-time General Faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Track (tenure ineligible) and/or Lecturer. Key responsibilities will include teaching core information systems course, courses in product and project management as well as elective courses.
These positions start in the fall semester of 2023 for a term of no more than three years and may be renewable based on performance and continued availability of funding.?

Applicants for the Assistant Professor position must have a Ph.D. in information systems or a related field (operations, data science, supply chain management, and so on) by the start date of the appointment. A Master’s degree by the start date of the appointment is required for the Lecturer position.

McIntire serves over 650 undergraduates and 300 graduate students. Undergraduate students enter the McIntire School in their third year at the University and concentrate in at least one of six fields: accounting, finance, information technology, international business, management and/or marketing. The major professional services firms (e.g., accounting, consulting, IT services, and investment banks) and Fortune 500 corporations actively recruit McIntire graduates. McIntire is located in a new 156,000 square foot academic complex on the Lawn in the heart of UVA's historic Central Grounds, designed by Thomas Jefferson. Charlottesville is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is consistently rated highly as a desirable location to live.?
